(1974) obtained her law degree in 1997 at the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, and joined one of the largest and reputable law firms on the island of Curaçao in that same year. She has worked continuously at that law firm until fomunding Asjes|Carrega in 2006. She has gained extensive experience in the general law practice and specializes in employment law, law of contract and (civil) litigation. During the period June 2002 - June 2003 she was the chairperson of the Board of the Antillean Jurists Association and is currently still a member of the Board. She was also a member of the Editors Committee of the newsletter of the Antillean Jurists Association. For over 4 years she was also a member of the Curacao Lions Club. Furthermore, she has also served as a lecturer at workshops.

  (1973) obtained his law degree at the University of the Netherlands Antilles in 1998. He joined one of the largest and reputable law firms on the island of Curaçao in 1997, initially as paralegal. In 2001 he worked for 3 months at the Dutch based law firm, Van Doorne, at their offices in London, England, in the banking and finance practice group. At the end of 2003 he was appointed Director of the Netherlands Antilles Security Service, which function he fulfilled until June 2005. In June 2005 he rejoined the aforementioned law firm and continued working there until founding Asjes|Carrega in 2006. After initially having gained experience in the general law practice, he specialized in and has advised clients and litigated extensively on different matters of insurance law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and banking and finance and (corporate) litigation. He is also a part-time lecturer at the University of the Netherlands Antilles on the subject of insurance law. He has also regularly served as a lecturer and speaker at workshops and seminars.
